I think the genre of this book would be realistic fiction because it kind of relates to us and its not like science fiction or anything because in science fiction it would be talking more about mystical creatures or something. This was posted by20140050

I think this book would probably be realistic fiction because it could really happen 2 some people in the world and it can't be science fiction because it doesnt relate about anything about the technology of the future or anything. And it can't be historical fiction because it doesnt relate about anything about the history of a long time ago.

I think that this book is in Realistic Fiction because there are people out there like Max and people like Freak.
What keeps this book from falling into any other "categories" is that even though there is talk (from Freak) of robots and chemicals, they all come from Freak and his imagination. The story does not revolve around just Freak. It revolves around both him and Max. And Max doesn't really believe completely in those things. He just goes with whatever Freak tells him and kind of believes it. He keeps us in Realistic fiction because he doesn't go into the stories as much as Freak would like him to. Of course, he lets us know what he's thinking and sometimes his thoughts are like those of a real situation. Like when he was running, he was scared and had lost all sense of direction. That would probably happen to me.

The genre of this book is realistic fiction. It is because those things could actully happen but the carecters are fake. It could be confused as historical fiction because Freak belivies he is in the age of nights, armor, and King Aurthor.

I think this book would be realistic fiction because there are people exactly like Freak and Max who are outcasts. Although i think it touches on Fantasy a little bit because of his obsessions with king Arthur and whatnot

I think this book would be realistic fiction because freak is a boy that has disiblities and that actually can happen in real life.
It couldnt be fiction because this book isnt based on a true story.

It also couldn't be fantasy because doesnt include like talking animals, and unicorns stuff that doesnt exist of couldnt happen in real life.

I think this book is realistic fiction because it involves things that could happen in real life and it can relate to people in the world. It doesn't fall into any other categories because it mainly talks about living a person's life. Even though Freak talks alot about robots and stuff doesn't mean it's Science-Fiction because it's his imagination and it isn't the main plot in the story.

The genre of the book is most likly Realistic Fiction, because it's in the modern time and things that are realistic happen in the book. It might have fell into Science Fiction because Freak talks alot about robots and things that cannot happen now. And things that involve the future

This book is realistic fictio because it could have happened but it probobly didn't. It isn't any other type of genre because it is telling about a person that could very well be real. It isn't fiction or fantasy it takes place in current times so it is not historical fiction. There is no mystery to solve. It is just two boys who are very different becoming friends which happens in real life all of the time.

I think the genere is realistic
fiction because freak and max relate to real people in the world, because there actually could be people as short as freak and people as big as max, people could also be as smart as freak.

I think Freak the Mighty is a realistic fiction book. All of the events in the book are things that could happen to us anytime of the day. Freak talks about lots of different historical fiction events. Even so, it doesn't make the book genre historical fiction. Freak also talks about robots and futuristic things, but it does not make the genre furturistic. Posted by Alexander the Great

The genre of the book is definitely realistic fiction. It can relate to other people in real life.
And what keeps it from falling into any other categories is that it stays on the present and doesn't relate to unreal things.
And doesn't begin in the future or past.

This book is a reality fiction. Because it is kinda like a real situation, and because there really are people in the world like Max and like Freak. One reason it doesn't fall into other categories is because all of these things in this book could happen and I'm sure have already happened.

I think this book is realistic fiction because the stuff in this book could happen to a person in real life. The way it stays with realistic fiction is because it doesn't fast forward to the future or doesn't rewind to the past, it stays with the present. I guess it could be science fiction because Freak likes robots and relates to them a lot.

This book is realistic fiction. Thats because these things could actuley happen in real life but of coures the charecters are fake. Some people might think it is was hitorical fiction because of what freak talks about all the time.

I think the book is realistic fiction because a lot of the book could happen, but it actually hasn't happened in real life. From 201459010

I think it's realistic fiction because there are people with "freak's" condition. It could also be fiction because I think that maybye a boy like Maxwell can't be that tall.

i think the book is realistic fiction, because this could really happen to somebody. The things that make sound like future or past are just in freaks mind.

This is probaly realistic fiction. Because it's about two kids that could be real but might not be. This couldnt be any othe genre because it does'nt realate to anything other genre.

I think that this book's genre would be realistic fiction. Both of the main characters (Max and Kevin) have things that make them different from normal people, diseases. Kevin is super small with crutches and knee braces, and Max is "giant". These diseases are happening to people in the real world and aren't made up... which makes it realistic fiction.

I think it would be realistic fiction because these events can actually happen in real life. It couldn't be mytery because there is nothing mystery about it. It is just about kid in there average life

The genre of this book is realistic fiction because the stuff in the book could actually happen. It can't be science fiction or historical fiction because Freak is making it all up in his head. It is not actually happening in the book.

I think this book is mostly realistic fiction because there are real people like freak in the world, and there are people that can relate to mighty too. Sometimes when it's talking about things freak is relating real life to, such as " quests " and dragons, fair maden, and stuff it sounds a little more like science fiction, but for the most part I would say it was realistic fiction.

I think it is realistic fiction because the things happening in this book are events that could happen in everday life. For example freak's mom invites max over for dinner.

This, I think, would obviously be realistic fiction because of its ability to exist in the current day world, even if it does not, in any way. It can't be historical fiction, because it isn't that far in the past, if at all. Science fiction, no. Fantasy, no. Doesn't really come close to either. No, I think realistic fiction is this books genre, through and through.

I think this book is realistic fiction because, they could do that stuff and his dad really could be in jail. It can't be mystery because their isn't a mystery. It can't be science fiction because their isn't any future/science stuff. it could
be confused as historical fiction because of freaks imagination.

I think this book would go under realistic fiction, because all of these situations could happen to all of us, and there are people like Maxwell and Freak. However these charecters are fictional so that is why i would put Freak the Mighty under realistic fiction

I think the genre of the book would be relastice fiction. It would be relastice fiction because it didn't really happen in real life, but it could . Freak talks about dragons, and knights, and mosters, but that doesn't mean its fantasy. That is what genre i think Freak the Mighty is.

I think that it was realistic fiction because it could happen to any one.

From when they were watching the fireworks, I found a few onomatopeias. The womps, and when the crowd proclaims, "Oooooh!"
They are both sounds that sound like those sounds.

Ants in your pants from when Freak is excited at Max's house, is an idiom, he doesn't really have ants in his pants, it's just meaning he's anxious.

When Max makes a mistake, Freak pulls out his dictionary like, "Arnold Shwartzennager pulling out a machine gun." This I must concur must be a simile, as it is comparing Freak with his dictionary to A. S. with his machine gun, using like. OR could it be an anology? Dind't a while ago you mention comparing two things to another two things is an anology? I'm not sure, we haven't really got to those yet.

I think the genre of the book is Realistic Fiction. The story could have reasonably happened in present time. The story is sort of misleading because Kevin talks about robots ALL THE TIME. This might make you think that it is science ficiton, but because it is only his imagination it is still realistic fiction. Another misleading detail is that Kevin calls his mother Fair Gwen from the story of King Arthur. Because it is only Kevin's imagination it is still realistic fiction.
